a little bit about me
I am a RN by night, photographer, wife + momma by day. I am a born and raised Missouri gal, but moved to the LowCountry four years ago when I married the man of my dreams— and now we have two beautiful daughters. On an average day you can find me right in the beautiful + humbling mess of motherhood. I’m a lover of a good thrift shop, baking shows, and gathering with friends at our dinner table. My life is a story of God's redemptive grace & love and the main reason why this little passion of mine has grown into what it is today. For Him and through Him in all things.
the heart behind my “why”
From an early age, I’ve always had a terrible memory — and as I’ve stepped into motherhood, it hasn’t exactly helped (as you can imagine, haha). The precious things I see and experience as a momma, I want to bottle them all up. The fleeting moments, the tiny hands, the giggles. I never want to forget just how sweet life truly is in each season that motherhood so humbly walks me through.
If you invite me to photograph your story, my hope is to simply and beautifully document your season in life — so you are able to wholesomely cherish what is and look back and relish on what was as life goes on. This passion has never been about likes, followers, or growing a business. You’ll never be just another number or face behind my lens. It’s an honor I hold close— to freeze time for other mommas and families, and it’s nothing I take lightly. During our time together, my hope is to gift you with images that not only flood the walls of your home, but live in the depths of your heart. The gift of preserving these fleeting, tender moments — that’s what keeps me coming back time and time again.
my photography journey
This little creative outlet has followed me throughout my life starting at a young age. Initially, it all started through capturing the beauty of Gods creation when I traveled or went on hiking trips. It was a way to escape but also remember all the beauty that my eyes had seen and known. I’m 100% self taught and did not go to school for photography, this has just always been a hobby of mine that has continued to grow & evolve in ways I never expected.
I never planned or thought I would end up taking photos of people, being the complete introvert that I am, but I have been beyond blessed as the Lord has guided me down this avenue. Now, I get to capture and see His beauty through all the laughs, smiles and sweet moments spent with you. I also have the privilege of serving as a photographer at Lowcountry Community Church, something I have been so blessed in doing. I’m not sure what the Lord has planned for this creative outlet, but my heart & hands are open as I follow. Thank you for taking a moment to learn a little more about me.
